Birds of Belize – Juvenile Rufous-Tailed Hummingbird

The Rufous-Tailed Hummingbird is a likely to show up at least once on your visit to Lower Dover Jungle Lodge in Belize.  We have covered the Rufous Tailed Hummingbird before, but have never spotted an immature hummingbird motionless. These birds frequent the Polly Red Head plants found commonly around the hotel grounds. Next month we will go into more depth about the many medicinal plants found throughout our 100 jungle acre property. 31 Plants for all 31 days in honer of Earth Day on April 22, 2012.
