Sometimes its just damn hot in Belize. Luckily we have Belikin. The beers go down easy here, mostly because both the Belikin Lager and Stout are surprisingly good beer for the tropics. But don’t be fooled, the bottles are only 11oz full not 12 like in the States, even though they weigh about the same. Don’t worry it will take about 4 to notice…
Belikin Lagar aka Regular: 4.8% alcohol
Belikin Stout: 6.5% alcohol
The only way to notice the difference between both is the bottle tops, green is lager, blue is stout. The bottles are the same color and design and carry 284 ml in metric. Don’t waste your time with the Belikin Premium, a “Regular” Belikin will do just about everyone perfectly.
When at Lower Dover Jungle Lodge, it will only cost you $5 Belize, or $2.50 U.S. for a cold beer. We even have a b.y.o.b. policy, but require guests to buy ice in the village and use coolers to keep their drinks cold. It doesn’t get much better than that in Belize!
