During the BVAR archaeology dig at Lower Dover Field Station and Jungle Lodge in Belize this summer, our students had a visitor stop by the Mayan site. This boa constrictor clearly was interested in what the Maya had in store for December 2012.
Luckily we had our camera out there taking pictures of the Maya site when the commotion started. The boa constrictor was nearly 6 feet in length! It climbed effortlessly through the trees with little care for the crowd that quickly gathered around it. Don’t worry it could only strangle you to death, it’s not poisonous.
Yikes! It’s beautiful… but I’d hate to wake up and find it in my bed…
Well it’s a good job I wasn’t there, or there would’ve been an even bigger commotion. Amazing!
Beautiful but deadly!
I hate snakes, but I like your post! Fair enough?
Sounds good to us!
Great site. I have added a link to your site on Picture Belize that will keep us up-dated on your posts.

Cool, thanks AJ.
